Day 1 includes a discussion of federal, state and local assessment reporting including an in depth look at EL program analysis. Participants will also learn to use certain features of Microsoft Excel in the data analysis process.

Day 2 includes the discussion and application of qualitative data collection methods and tools. Examples are given of various observation and report writing tools that can enhance teacher and student observations and report writing. Participants will also participate in an in‐depth discussion of the evaluation of Special Education programs with the use of a West Ed data collection tool.

Day 3 provides a wrap‐up of previous topics and work with your county’s portal services. Participants are provided hands on training of the portal services that are designed to tap the technology that will assist with program enhancement. In addition, current funding sources for technology are discussed.
